Week Calendar

Come hear children's author Dawson Stolzer read his book The Curious Cat Cheerio, which he wrote and published at the age of 11.  He will share ideas to help the kids to write their own short story.  

Teens and adults are invited to join us for a photo scavenger hunt at the Atkins Library.

The diverse habitats around Lake Dardanelle create many opportunities for discovery and exploration.  Join park interpreter, Sasha to find out what is in her wild bag!  We’ll play a little game to let you touch and feel your way around.&

Join us for a special visit from a local author, Tasia Taylor! She will read her new book, Ice Cream Disaster, and lead us in some fun ice cream themed activities. 

Join us in welcoming our guest speaker from the Atkins Police Department. Hang out with us after the presentation to solve a mystery.

Bring the whole family to listen to a local folk music band, Contra Band! 

Join us for a Tea Party with Children's Author and Illustrator Ms. Carol Dabney.  Ms. Carol will teach us a new song plus share with us one of her children's books.  Dressing up is optional.  Tea and cookies will be provided.

Some Guy Named Robb is visiting the library to discuss his writing process and share some of his songs.

Ready for even more Summer Fun? Help us welcome Marty Boone to the library. Marty has been on America's Got Talent, and he is Arkansas' top balloon artist and magician. Every kiddo will get to take home a balloon animal!
