This presentation covers the start of World War II, as well as the causes and results of Japanese internment during the war.  It focuses on the Rohwer internment camp in Desha County.

Amy Milliken has been the Education Coordinator for the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program (AHPP) since 2016.  She also served in the classroom for 12 years teaching world history and geography.  Prior to teaching, she worked in public history at the Old State House Museum. Her position with AHPP combines her first 2 career paths, public history and education.

Due to the sensitive nature of this subject, we request that only those 18 and older attend this program.
