Jason Pederson Author Talk

Jason Pederson is a Wisconsinite by birth, an Arkansan by choice.  

He spent 27 years working as a TV reporter in Arkansas, with the last 20 of those years serving as KATV's "7-On-Your-Side" reporter.

His book, "Somebody's Knocking," tells the history of how 7-On-Your-Side came to be in Arkansas, as well as the stories behind many of Jason's most compelling stories. 

It includes QR codes throughout...so you can watch many of the news reports and confrontations that Jason writes about.  

Since 2019, he has been serving Arkansans in a different role: as an employee with the Arkansas Department of Human Services. 

Jason and his wife Mary Carol have two biological children and one bonus-son, all now adults.  

They are long-time members of Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock. 

Outside of work, Jason enjoys playing disc golf, mentoring at-risk youth, and teaching a class at Wrightsville prison as part of the Pathway to Freedom program.
