Survival Skills 101 is a yearly event held in Hector at The Cecil Riley Memorial Park located next to the Hector Library.  Build your Survival Skills with demonstrations, survival activities, games, crafts, and more!

Stay hydrated with the City Corps Hydration Stations.

After our morning activities, take a break in the Hector Library for Storytime, crafts, LEGOs, and popcorn.

Then join us again at the Park at 1:00 pm for our Hero vs. Villain Challenge!

Hero and Villain costumes are encouraged.

Library Card

Library cards are free and valid for one (1) year. The Library System has no minimum age for a patron to obtain a library card. Anyone can use the resources of the Pope County Library, but only registered patrons may borrow library materials. Cardholders are responsible for all items checked out on their cards, whether the card is used by the owner of the card or anyone else.
