September is Library Card Sign-up Month!

This September, the Pope County Library System invites you to celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month and discover how a library card can open the door to endless possibilities.  In addition to books, use your Pope County Library card to check out items from our Library of Things--from literacy and science kits to big ticket items like a grill, post hole digger, or telescope.  Your library card also connects you to digital resources such as e-books, e-zines, audio books, and in-library computer access, plus free language learning materials through the Pronunciator app.

Come meet a hero firefighter and see if you have what it takes! Bring your running shoes and try your best through our  junior firefighting obstacle course! This is for all ages, even those that are young at heart. We are celebrating our local firefighters who put their own lives in danger to help protect and assist victims and survivors during devastating conditions. Let's come out and thank them for all they do!

As the Pope County Library System (PCLS) is a public space, we do take and sometimes publish photographic images and videos of patrons taking part in library programs.  Photographs of adults may be published online, on social media, and/or in print.  For your child's safety, any image that contains a child's face may be used in print advertising only.  

Unattended Children (ages 0-11)


Children 11 and under must be accompanied by a responsible party and shall be adequately supervised by such responsible parent or caregiver at all times for the sake of their own well-being.
 

 

Unattended Minors (ages 12-19)

While children 12 years and older may use the library unattended, they are required to adhere to library rules and expectations of acceptable behavior.  Disruptive juveniles may be asked to disperse at the librarian’s discretion. Any minor unable to travel alone must be picked up prior to closing.
